SPD: 18-wheeler carrying produce caught fire on I-20

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The driver of an 18-wheeler carrying produce was able to escape without injury after his truck caught fire Wednesday on I-20 East.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon near the Jewella Avenue exit. Several residents who live off of Jewella Ave. called the KSLA News 12 newsroom to report hearing a loud explosion when the truck caught fire.
One lane of I-20 is shut down while first responders work to remove the 18-wheeler. The driver was not injured. Expect traffic delays.
