A 2-month-old colt was attacked and bitten by a pit bull in Many.

MANY, LA (KSLA) - A colt was injured Monday after he was attacked by a dog on the loose in Sabine Parish.

Many Police officers said a two-month-old colt sustained injuries to his right shoulder and leg after he was attacked by a neighbor's pit bull who broke out of his pen.

The horse was released to the Humane Society and taken to a veterinarian for treatment.

It is not yet known if the horse will be returned to its owner. Stay with KSLA News 12 for updates.
