SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man is behind bars after being stabbed by the victim of an alleged attempted sexual assault Saturday night in the city's Lakeside neighborhood.

Just after 10 p.m., Shreveport police officers were called to the intersection of Allen Avenue at Anna Street for a report of a male suffering a stab wound. There, they found 43-year-old Christopher Perry of Shreveport.

According to the SPD, detectives found evidence linking Perry to an attempted sexual assault reported just streets away in the 1600 block of Poland Street. Perry allegedly attempted to sexually assault two women there.

During the struggle, one of the victims stabbed Perry, police said.

Perry was charged with one count each of sexual battery and simple battery. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail after he was released from the hospital.
