LITTLE RIVER CO., AR (KSLA) - A Howard County man was found dead Wednesday morning at a southwest Arkansas lake he had gone fishing on.

Little River County Sheriff Gary Gregory says the family of 74-year-old James Steeley became worried when he didn't come home from an overnight fishing trip. Wednesday morning family and friends went to the White Cliff Fishing Area next to Millwood Lake to look for him. When they found his boat sitting on the bank still idling, they called the sheriff's office.

Gregory said search crews from Little River, Sevier and Howard Counties began looking for Steeley about 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. His body was found about four hours later in some bushes about a half-mile from where the boat was discovered.

The body will go to Little Rock for an autopsy.
