SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are looking for a man they say tried to rob another man in north Shreveport last month.

Officers were called around 2:45 p.m. to the 1300 block of North Market Street on November 9, where the victim told them a man came up to him and forcefully tried to take money and valuables from him, even after he told the man he had no money on him.

After realizing he'd been seen by a witness, the man reportedly fled.

Now, Shreveport police detectives say they've identified 28-year-old Xavion Bryant as a suspect in the attempted robbery. An arrest warrant for attempted simple armed robbery has been issued for Bryant, of the 1900 block of North Hearne Avenue.

Bryant's bond has been set at $200,000.

Police say anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Xavion Bryant is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or on their website at www.lockemup.org.
