SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport woman is behind bars after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend on Tuesday afternoon.
Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Patzman Street just before 2:30 p.m. and arrived to find 45-year-old Bobby Powell with a stab wound to the neck.
Powell was taken University Health by Shreveport Fire Department medics. He is expected to survive.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes investigators were called in, and they say information and evidence gathered at the scene of the crime links 29-year-old Amy Williams to Powell's stabbing. Investigators believe it happened during an argument between the two.
Williams was arrested on scene at the home and later taken by officers to the Shreveport City Jail, where she was booked on a single count of aggravated battery.
