SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police have made an arrest in the stabbing early Thanksgiving morning in Cedar Grove that left a local man in the hospital with serious injuries.
55-year-old Dewayne Goins is charged with attempted second degree murder. Police say it happened just before 8 a.m. Thursday during an argument at a home in the 200 block of W. 70th St.
Goins is accused of pulling a knife and stabbing 32-year-old Lorenzo Lewis before fleeing the scene. Goins was taken into custody nearby a short time later.
Lewis was taken to University Health, where he is said to be "stable."
