Body found in car at Lake Wright Patman

BOWIE COUNTY, TX (KSLA) - A dead body was found inside a car at a lake in Bowie County, Texas.

The body was found in a parked car at Lake Wright Patman around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Sheriff's investigators say a park ranger was on routine patrol when he noticed a car that had been parked for most of the day.  He checked the car and found the body of a man dead inside.

The vehicle was parked at the edge of a wooded area on the north end of the lake.

There were no visible signs of trauma to the body and no weapons were found at the scene, investigators said.

The body has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.

The victim's name has not been released.
