Mailman injured, cited in a rollover crash in Mooretown

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A mailman was injured after his truck was hit a by a van in the Mooretown neighborhood Monday evening.
Shreveport police say around 7:15 p.m. a mail truck was hit by a van in the 4000 block of Powell Street. Police say it appears that the mail truck driver ran a stop sign while driving on Powell and was hit by a van traveling north on Broadway Avenue causing the truck to flip over.
Police say the mail truck driver was injured and appeared to need stitches for a cut to his arm. He was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. The driver of the van was not injured.
The mail truck driver was cited for failure to yield.
