Shreveport man arrested for distribution of child pornography

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man is has been arrested after police say a search of his home Thursday turned up child pornography, drugs and a handgun.
21-year-old John Foster is charged with 50 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles, distribution of child pornography, simple possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Louisiana State Police say the search of his home by investigators with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, the Shreveport Police Department and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office was part of an ongoing Child Watch investigation into the distribution of child pornography over the internet.
If convicted, Foster faces up to a $2,550,000 fine and from 255 to 1,000 years in prison without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
