CLAIBORNE PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Louisiana State Police say one of the three men injured when an oil rig exploded last Friday in Claiborne Parish has been released from the hospital. His co-workers remain at LSU Medical Center in fair condition.

That blast happened about 4 p.m. on June 28 at Tiger Creek Road and Hwy. 79 in Claiborne Parish at an oil rig owned by AIX Energy.

Matt Harris, spokesman for the Claiborne Parish Sheriff's Office, said the injured workers were flown by helicopter to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport and that their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Trooper James Anderson says the investigation into what caused the explosion continues.
