DESOTO PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Three adults are behind bars Friday after DeSoto Parish Sheriff's authorities say they did nothing to stop a 16-year-old girl from having sex on two occasions with several male juveniles while in their presence.
DeMarcus Hill, 19, was arrested on June 12 and charged then with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Hill got a second count of the same charge on Friday.
Timieka Young, 22, and her brother, Timothy Young, 22, were arrested on June 14 and charged with principle carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Det. Sgt. Garland Hensley says the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office investigation began after getting a call about a 16-year-old girl who had taken a 4-wheeler from her grandparents and slipped out of their Logansport house. She was found the next morning, but it was later revealed that the teenager had spent the night with a 19-year-old man with whom she had sex. That incident occurred on June 6 at the Logansport Apartments.
Further investigation led authorities to the home of Timieka Young, who allegedly told authorities that the 19-year-old man and several other juvenile males had had sex with the teenage girl at a house at 110 Marshall Road in Logansport. Authorities arrested Young and charged her, they said, because she was aware of the gang sex taking place in her house but did nothing to stop it.
During this interview, Hensley said Timieka Young implicated her brother, Timothy Young, saying that he had been at her house during the gang sex. Timothy Young was then arrested and charged.
Hensley also alleges that Timothy Young had gone with Hill to pick up the teenager, adding that even though Timothy Young says he did not have sex with the girl, he knew why the girl was brought to the house. She says Timothy Young was arrested and charged because he did not intervene.
Timieka and Timothy Young are in the jail have a $10,000 bond. Hill also has a $10,000 bond on the first charge but he does not have a higher bond amount because his second charge came on Friday.
Authorities say a fourth arrest might be coming soon involving a woman who rented out the Logansport apartment unit where the June 6 incident occurred.
