BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - A Bossier City teenager is recovering after accidentally shooting himself Wednesday evening.
Police say it happened at a home in the 2500 block of Hoyer Street. They say a 16-year-old accidentally shot himself and then walked six blocks to Patricia Drive and Foster Street to get help.
Police say the teenager initially told them that he was shot by an unknown person, but they later determined he was playing with the gun when he was shot. The 16-year-old was taken to LSU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still looking for the gun.
No word yet if he will be charged.
