TSA officials are apologizing to a family for an incident at Missouri airport. Agents wanted to pat down their four-year-old disabled child.
Cell phone video from Feb. 9 shows Lucy Forcks sobbing as TSA Agents prepare to pat down the 4-year-old.
The girl, Lucy, has spina bifida and was in a wheelchair when agents wanted to pat her down.
That's when Lucy's mother pulled out her cell phone and began recording the incident. But she says the TSA Agent told her that it was illegal to record the search. It isn't. Lucy's mother kept recording anyway.
Eventually, the agents decided against the pat down.
Later, the TSA released a statement: "TSA regrets inaccurate guidance was provided to this family during screening and offers its apology. We are committed to maintaining the security of the traveling public and strive to treat all passengers with dignity and respect."
