LINDEN, TX (KSLA) - Linden Police arrested a junior high school teacher Tuesday after they say he was selling methamphetamine in the parking lot of the school where he taught.

Arrested in connection with the incident was William Duncan, who was charged with delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone. Duncan has bonded out of jail, says Police Chief Alton McWaters.

Duncan was picked up in the parking lot of Mae Luster Stephens Junior High School. Linden is about 40 miles southwest of Texarkana, Texas.

His arrest follows a five-month undercover investigation of drug sales in the area, McWaters says.

"They were selling it all over the place. You've got to stop it," McWaters says.

Linden Police sent their undercover officer to the school on Tuesday morning before classes began. That's when McWaters says that one of his undercover officers bought the meth.

McWaters also says officers found drugs in the teacher's truck.

Their investigation continues.
