SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The issue of completing the 3132 Loop is now back in front of the Shreveport Metropolitan Planning Commission. It was just there a couple of weeks ago.

And thanks to the Shreveport City Council it's back there again.

On May 2nd, developer Tim Larkin asked the MPC for permission to build homes and a road in the area.

Opponents of the development told the MPC that development could get in the way of a future route.

But members took no action, and it landed on the agenda of Shreveport city council, but on Tuesday all but one city council member voted to kick it back to the MPC.

Shreveport City Council Member Joe Shyne told other members that now is a good time to gather some more information on the issue.

"My position is: Instead of remanding it back lets table it at this particular moment until we can get some more information on where this road is going to go. Because this is too important," says Shyne.

Now the MPC will have a decision to make again. But some believe this issue could be decided by the district court.
