SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport firefighters work a major grass fire early Monday morning as they continue their wildfire watch across the city.
Fire crews with Caddo Fire District 5 and Shreveport Fire Dept. were called back out to a fire near Interstate 49 and Terry Bradshaw Passway just after midnight.
Just last week, firefighters battled another grass fire in the same area, this time, a small section of grass and a pine tree caught on fire.
Fortunately firefighters were able to contain the fire before it could spread. Fire officials will continue to monitor the area in case of more rekindling.
