BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) – Members of the Bossier City Council plan to hold a special meeting Tuesday to discuss a possible property agreement with Paradise Casino.
The agenda for the special meeting says the council will introduce an ordinance letting the city and the casino begin negotiations on property within the city limits.
This is only the first step of many before a new casino could come to Bossier City. The Louisiana Gaming Control Board also has to approve moving the casino's license, and voters must approve the new casino.
By law, Louisiana can only have 15 casino licenses, however Paradise Casino holds two of those licenses, both of them currently held for property in Lake Charles.
