Funerals set, reward offered grows again in Bowie Co. triple murder
BOWIE CO., TX (KSLA) - Funeral services have been set for the Redwater mother and her two children killed in their rural Bowie County home before it went up in flames last week, while the reward money offered for information leading to an arrest in their murders continues to grow.
34-year-old Amanda Doss, 8 year-year-old Texas Johnson and 11-year-old Guinivere Doss will be laid to rest following services on Saturday, May 21st at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas.
Autopsies have confirmed that all three died violently before the fire was set. Texas Rangers and ATF are assisting the Bowie County Sheriff's Office in the investigation. Investigators say they do not have a suspect or a person of interest in the case.
Late Thursday, the Bowie County Sheriff's Office says they received two more pledges from citizens wanting to contribute to the reward fund. One pledged $1,000, another, $10,000 – bringing the total pledged $25,000, plus the $3,000 offered by Crimestoppers.
"I've never seen so many people coming forward to try to help get a case solved," says Chief Deputy Larry Parker.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bowie County Sheriff's Office or Texarkana Crimestoppers at 903-793-STOP.
