Jeremy Thomas is an award-winning multimedia journalist for KTRE. He joined the team in June 2020 and is excited to come home.

Jeremy is an East Texas native. He grew up in Sabine County and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and History.

Prior to joining KTRE, Jeremy worked for a sister station, KXII-TV in Sherman, Texas and Ardmore, Oklahoma for nearly five years. His worked covered parts of North Texas and Southeast Oklahoma as a news reporter, weekend sports anchor/reporter and morning news anchor. During his time, Jeremy helped KXII win “Best Sportscast” in 2019 from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters, “Best Sportscast” in 2018 and 2017 presented by the Arkansas/Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters and “Best Long-Form Sports Programming” in 2016 from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters.

One of his favorite quotes comes from the poet Mary Oliver: “Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” For Jeremy, those are not only words to live by, but they apply to how he approaches each story, as well.
