Arrests made; coroner IDs 15-year-old fatally shot on Jewella Avenue

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has released the name of the Shreveport teenager who was fatally shot on Monday, Nov. 4.

Anthony Vinson Jr., 15, was shot just before 2 a.m. while walking in the 5700 block of Jewella Avenue, the coroner’s office reports.

Vinson was taken to Ochsner LSU Health, where he died at 2:21 a.m. An autopsy has been ordered.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Shreveport police arrested 17-year-old Onterio Robinson and a 15-year-old as suspects in the incident. They were both charged with one count of second-degree murder.

Vinson’s death marks the 46th homicide this year in Caddo Parish and the 43rd in Shreveport.
