More charges added for Benton man accused in child porn, animal sex abuse case

BENTON, La. (KSLA) - A man from Benton is facing new charges after more evidence was uncovered by the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, June 6, BPSO officials reported that Franklin Goad, 34, who lives on Deer Trail Drive in Benton, is facing an additional 1,109 counts of pornography involving juveniles. He’s also facing 196 new counts of sexual abuse of animals. Based on the new charges, his bond was raised to $1,000,000.
BPSO says on May 18, Goad was initially arrested by detectives on 84 counts of possession of child pornography.
A search warrant was carried out at his house the day of the arrest and investigators confiscated several electronic devices. Those devices reportedly contained sexual images of prepubescent children.
Goad was initially booked into Bossier Max on a bond of $420,000.
