BENTON, La. (KSLA) - A man convicted of multiple child sex crimes in early February of 2022 was sentenced in a Bossier Parish courtroom on Friday, May 13.

Sentencing began at 9 a.m.

Stacey Glenn Wilhite, 54, was convicted in February of 2022 on seven counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count each of molestation and attempted molestation.

“I’ve been silent for too long. I’m not afraid who knows anymore,” said one of the victims.

He was arrested in July of 2020 and was initially charged with counts of sexual battery/touching and one count of indecent behavior with juveniles. He eventually pleaded not guilty.

On Friday morning, Wilhite was sentenced to 67 years in prison for his crimes.

“I believe him to be a danger to all children for the rest of his life. I do not believe there is any chance of rehabilitating him,” one of the victim’s mothers said in an impact statement.

The mother of one of the victims gave KSLA a copy of her impact statement, which says in part, “My child was brave enough to speak up and allow me to speak out publicly, and because of [my child’s] bravery, five more victims came forward.”
