Shooting wounds 2 in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — Two people were taken to the hospital, one in life-threatening condition, following a shooting in Shreveport’s Country Club neighborhood.

Caddo 911 dispatch records show it happened about 10:10 p.m. Thursday, April 28 in the 3700 block of Jackson Street. That’s just west of Hassett Avenue and a block south of Atkins Park.

One of the victims was shot in his head. The other gunshot victim was shot in one of his legs. Both have been taken to Ochsner LSU Health for treatment.

Police have secured one weapon at the scene of the shooting.

Six police and seven medic units initially responded to the call. The police presence soon grew to at least 10.
