TEXARKANA, Ark. (KSLA) - Asa Hutchinson is nearing the end of his second four-year term as Governor of Arkansas.

While he cannot run for re-election, Hutchinson said he plans to continue being a conservative voice after his term is over. Although two years away, KSLA asked Hutchinson if he was eying a run for the White House.

“I do look towards the future. I want to be a voice for common sense, conservatism. So, expect my voice to be on the national stage, hopefully leading our country and being a voice for some commonsense conservatism that I think our country needs,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said he wants to finish strong as governor, growing the economy and workforce for the state of Arkansas.
