(KSLA) - This weekend could not get much better! There will be lots of sunshine after a few morning clouds and perhaps a quick shower early Saturday. More rain is likely as we start off next week over Monday and Tuesday with the possibility of some severe weather.

Overnight, there will be some clouds and rain that builds in through the ArkLaTex. It will not rain everywhere. In fact, this may not even have a rumble of thunder with it. So, it will be peaceful rain. It should all be gone rather quickly though. Don’t be surprised to see some quick and light showers if you stay out late tonight. Temperatures will not be as cool and will drop to the upper 40s. Some locations may stay in the 50s.

This weekend may have some rain Saturday and then will go back to dry weather on Sunday. With that said, all of the rain on Saturday will be early in the morning. It might even be gone by the time you get up in the morning! So, you will not need to cancel any plans since the rain will be moving out rather quickly. Sunday will also be very sunny with no chance of rain. Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will remain in the upper 70s to the lower 80s.

Monday will start off the work week on a dry note. However, the rain chances are starting to go up. I now expect some rain later in the evening and especially overnight. To reiterate, the day itself will not be too bad. There should be plenty of clouds around mixing with some sunshine. Temperatures will also be very warm and get up to the lower 80s across the ArkLaTex.

Monday night is when the storms will be moving in across the ArkLaTex. There is now a slight risk for severe weather for majority of the viewing area. All aspects of severe weather are possible. This includes strong winds, hail, and tornadoes. I’d say after midnight is when the storms will be at their worst. Make sure to have some way of receiving alert since this is a time you will likely be sleeping. By around sunrise Tuesday, there will still be plenty of rain and storms, but it will start to wind down.

Tuesday is looking to still be wet from some lingering storms. The latest trends show the rain will be in the morning, and will be pushing out by around midday. So, I do not expect a ton of rain, nor for it to ruin any outdoor plans. We will watch this closely for the latest trend and give you the First Alert as we learn more. Temperatures Tuesday will likely still warm up to the upper 70s.

Wednesday will go back to dry weather. There will not be much cloud cover either, so expect lots of sunshine! Temperatures will still be warm and get up to the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Look for that same weather to continue Thursday as well. There should be plentiful sunshine with limited cloud cover. Temperatures still be very pleasant with highs in the lower 70s. This will be a little below average for early April.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend and stay aware for Monday and Tuesday!
