SEVERE WEATHER: Report damage to the Texas Div. of Emergency Management here
MARION COUNTY, Texas (KSLA) - Dozens of residents across east Texas were displaced following the severe weather system that barreled through the region earlier this week on March 22. In fact, Leward LaFleur, Marion County judge, told KSLA at least 50 homes were damaged or destroyed.
The Texas Division of Emergency Management is requesting that impacted residents report damage to the state. In doing so, this could lead to disaster assistance from the federal government.
It’s important to note that completing this survey does not guarantee assistance. The survey can be completed in English or Spanish.
LaFleur also took to social media to share critical phone numbers residents can call, if they find themselves in need:
- Marion County Sheriff: (903) 665-7201
- Marion County Judge: (903) 665-3261
- Judge LaFleur: (903) 930-1782
