Part of I-49 northbound closed in DeSoto Parish due to wreck

DESOTO PARISH, La. (KSLA) - Part of I-49 northbound in DeSoto Parish is closed at mile marker 178 due to a two-vehicle crash.

Northbound traffic is being diverted onto the Carmel / LA Hwy 509 exit (Exit 177) and will travel north on LA Hwy 1.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.

I-49 North is closed at Mile Marker 179 due to an accident. Traffic is being diverted off I-49 North to LA 509 (Mile Marker 177) to LA 1. Congestion is approaching 2 miles.
