LITTLE ROCK, La. (KSLA) - A bill has been introduced in the Arkansas legislature that would revert the state’s flag back to the design adopted in 1913.

House Bill 1790 was introduced by Representative David Whitaker (D), who represents District 85 in northwest Arkansas.

The bill seeks to remove the blue star below the word Arkansas on the flag, which is meant to commemorate the Confederate States of America.
