SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — The recent search of a Shreveport address led to the arrests of two men on drug charges.

Arrested after the search Feb. 26 in the 6800 block of West Canal Boulevard were 53-year-old Anthony Mitchell and 49-year-old Marcellus Gay Jr.

Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit agents seized about nine grams (0.32 of an ounce) of cocaine in 28 bags, about 52 grams (1.8 ounces) of marijuana in four bags, five hydrocodone dosage units, two guns and $1,000 in cash, the Caddo Sheriff’s Office reports.

Mitchell was booked into Caddo Correctional Center at 2:49 p.m. Feb. 26 on one count each of possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (hydrocodone), possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm with a CDS. Booking records show his bonds totaled $42,000.

Gay faces a charge of possession of a Schedule II CDS (cocaine) with intent to distribute. He was booked into Caddo Correctional at 3:56 p.m. Feb. 26. His bond was set at $18,000.

Booking records show both men were released from custody at 7:34 p.m. Feb. 27.
