President Biden approves Oklahoma’s emergency declaration

(KSLA) - On Thursday, Feb. 18, President Joe Biden has approved the state of Oklahoma’s emergency declaration.

Federal assistance was ordered to supplement state, tribal and local response efforts following the severe winter storm beginning on Feb. 8.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will coordinate all disaster relief efforts.

Specifically FEMA is authorized to identify, mobilize, and provide at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. Emergency protectives measures for mass care and sheltering and direct federal assistance will be provided at 75 percent funding.
