Lakeshore Drive shooting victim named by coroner’s office

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Caddo Coroner’s Office has named a man who was shot and killed when he was sitting in his car on Sunday, Jan. 17.

Nicholas Kent Sparks, 25, died after being shot outside a home in the 3800 block of Lakeshore Drive in north Shreveport.

According to the coroner’s office, he was shot around 8 p.m. and died around 8:30 p.m. He was positively identified by his fingerprints.

The shooting remains under investigation.
