EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - As of Monday, March 8, at 9 p.m., there are 6,435 estimated active cases of COVID-19 in the KLTV/KTRE viewing area and 2,150 deaths.

KLTV/KTRE made the decision to eliminate the reporting of cumulative cases and to focus on active cases.

ANDERSON COUNTY

(97 active cases, 1,759 recoveries, 60 deaths)

NET Health reported two new cases on March 8.

ANGELINA COUNTY

(381 active cases, 264 deaths, 7,339 recoveries)

The state reported three deaths on March 4.

CAMP COUNTY

(156 active cases, 42 deaths, 993 recoveries)

The state reported two new cases on March 8.

CASS COUNTY

(99 active cases, 78 deaths, 1,622 recoveries)

The state reported two new cases on March 8.

CHEROKEE COUNTY

(9 active cases, 50 deaths, 3,986 recoveries)

The county reported 25 recoveries on March 5.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

(99 active cases, 25 deaths, 580 recoveries)

In his weekly update on March 1, Harrison County Judge Chad Sims reported 49 new cases, three deaths and 84 recoveries.

HENDERSON COUNTY

(372 active cases, 82 deaths, 3,299 recoveries)

NET Health reported eight new cases on March 8.

HOPKINS COUNTY

(170 active cases, 105 deaths, 2,676 recoveries)

The state reported three new cases on March 8.

HOUSTON COUNTY

The state reported one new case on March 8.
