SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Violent Crimes Detectives have identified a second suspect in the December shooting that left three people injured.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jeremy Upshaw, 19, for one count of principal to attempted first-degree murder.

Shreveport police arrested a man on Friday, Jan. 8, in connection with the same shooting.

Back on Dec. 29, 2020, officers responded to a local hospital after two males and one female were shot. They were all treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers learned the shooting reportedly happened near Prentiss and Woodford streets.

Investigators were able to identify Jontavius Pugh, 19, as a suspect. An arrest warrant was issued on the charge of principal for first-degree murder.

On Jan. 7, 2021, SPD got info that Pugh was in the 3700 block of Murvon Street. Police say when they tried to talk to him, he ran away. Pugh was later caught in the 3700 block of Peyton Street. He was taken to a local hospital after sustaining minor injuries. After being released, he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
