SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department is working to learn more about a shooting that left one man injured and another dead Friday, Jan. 8.

Officers were called out to a local hospital just after 3 a.m. regarding a shooting.

According to two witnesses who were traveling with the victim, they were was driving on I-220 near Jefferson Paige Road when shots were fired at the vehicle from another car.

One of the passengers in vehicle was hit in the upper torso. Police say the 17-year-old victim died from his injury.

The victim told officers the shots were fired from a possibly brown car.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
