SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — A homicide victim has been identified as a Shreveport man.
Jamarvioun R. Oliver, 18, is the man who was fatally shot in west-central Shreveport early the morning of Sunday, Jan. 3, the Caddo coroner’s office reports.
The teenager was found dead just before 3:30 a.m.
He was in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the 2800 block of Randolph Street in the city’s Werner Park neighborhood, according to the coroner’s office. SPD officials say another person was hurt in this shooting as well, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
Shreveport police used fingerprint comparison to positively identify Oliver.
An autopsy has been ordered.
SPD officials say this shooting is related to an earlier shooting that also happened Sunday, just after 3 a.m. In that instance, officers were called to a local hospital about two men with non-life-threatening injuries and a third who was killed.
