Drier weather leads to increased fire danger in East Texas

SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Drier weather has lead to an increased risk of fires across East Texas.

One such fire burned around 350 acres in San Augustine County. The fire has been contained according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

KTRE’s Jeremy Thomas will be talking with fire officials about the drier conditions and what you can do to help prevent wildfires and stay safe.
