Woman shot in domestic dispute identified by Caddo coroner; husband’s charges upgraded

Antiqua James, 44, of Shreveport, was shot at her home in the 3500 block of Cedar Creek Drive.

She was sent to a Shreveport hospital where she succumbed to her wound on Tuesday afternoon.

Her husband, Lonnie James, 57, is accused of shooting her in the head. He surrendered himself to authorities on Monday.

Shreveport Police Spokeswoman Christina Curtis says that his charges were upgraded to one count of second-degree murder.
