SHELBY COUNTY, Tex. (KSLA) - Residents in parts of east Texas may have felt a shake early Monday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a magnitude 2.5 earthquake was reported in Shelby County, Texas. The quake happened just before 2:00 a.m. Monday.

According to online records, the quake was located 5 kilometers from Timpson, Texas.
