SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Caddo Parish Commission Office held a joint press conference with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, City of Shreveport and the Department of Homeland Security on March 18.
Sheriff Steve Prator did confirm one of the 5 positive cases in Caddo Parish is a worker at Government Plaza.
Government Plaza will close for the remainder of the week and will reopen Monday morning.
The closing is being used as a precaution and will be thoroughly cleaned Thursday and Friday.
Sheriff Prator also mentioned all three major hospital systems: Willis-Knighton Health, Ochsner LSU Health, and CHRISTUS Health System have designated testing areas for those who have a doctor’s note to get tested.
If you do not have a doctor’s note to get tested you will be asked to return home, according to Martha Whyte.
