Jurors find man guilty of second-degree battery

MANY, La. (KSLA) — A Sabine Parish jury Thursday convicted a man of battering someone else, leaving that person paralyzed from the waist down.

The six panelists found 41-year-old Freddy Lee Williams, of Many, guilty as charged on one count of second-degree battery, the Sabine Parish district attorney’s office reports.

The assault occurred May 29, 2018.

Williams is scheduled to be sentenced April 30.
