BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - According to the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, all ticket allotments for LSU and Oklahoma have officially sold out.

Each school sold a total of 13,040 tickets to its fans for this year’s game. Officials said a record number of tickets were sold for this year’s semifinal. The matchup represents the largest number of tickets ever sold in the 52-year history of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and is the Bowl’s 21st sellout in the last 23 games. Due to the high demand for tickets for No. 4 Oklahoma vs. No. 1 LSU, an additional 1,500 standing room only tickets have been released to the general public.

Fans wishing to attend this year’s College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl still have two remaining ticket options:

“We’re expecting a record crowd and an electric atmosphere in Mercedes-Benz stadium,” said Gary Stokan, Peach Bowl, Inc. CEO and president. “Ticket demand is extremely high to see two of the nation’s top-ranked offenses led by this year’s Heisman Trophy winner, Joe Burrow, and Heisman Trophy runner-up, Jalen Hurts.”

The No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners and the No. 1 LSU Tigers will meet on Dec. 28 at 3 p.m. CST in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, with the winner advancing to play for the College Football Playoff National Championship in New Orleans on Jan. 13.
