SML’s Wallette Branch offering free gift wrapping

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Christmas is just a week away — and if you still haven’t wrapped your gifts Shreve Memorial Library can help.

The Wallette Branch, 363 Hearne Ave., is currently wrapping Christmas gifts all for free.

“We love doing this for the patrons because a lot of people don’t have time to wrap gifts,” said Branch Manager Wyolanda Hall.

All you have to do is stop by from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. with your gifts and wait and volunteers will wrap everything up for you.

Hall says they’ve been doing this for the last five years, and so far they’ve already wrapped over 300 gifts since Dec. 9.

“Every year we just look and the numbers grow, and grow,” she said. “I think last year we wrapped over 800 to 900 gifts.”

Volunteers will be wrapping gifts Thursday, Dec. 19; Friday, Dec. 20 and Monday, Dec. 23.
