According to Caddo Parish Schools, authorities were able to declare the campus safe.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Classes are resuming at a Shreveport school following a bomb threat on Wednesday morning.

Crews with Shreveport Fire Department and Shreveport Police got the call regarding the threat, just before 10 a.m. to Ridgewood Middle School in the Southern Hills neighborhood.

According to Shreveport Police Spokeswoman Ofc. Christina Curtis, crews with SFD’s bomb squad were on scene to check the campus.

Following a thorough search by law enforcement, crews were able to determine that there was no threat on campus, according to Caddo Parish Schools Spokeswoman Mary Nash Wood.

Wood added that classes will resume as normal.
