CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA) — Someone kicked in a door and there was gunfire during a home invasion Monday morning at a residence in north Caddo Parish.
Now detectives are booking one man and searching for another, authorities report.
Zackery Jamarcier Summage, 31, of Shreveport, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center at 4:53 p.m. on one count each of aggravated flight from an officer and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, booking records show.
It was 9 a.m. when Vivian police asked the Caddo Sheriff’s Office for help with an investigation in the 300 block of West Atlanta Avenue.
A woman told authorities that her estranged boyfriend had kicked in the door to the residence where she and her boyfriend were staying, the Sheriff’s Office reports.
Gunshots were fired by at least one person.
And the woman, who ran to a neighbor’s residence for help, somehow suffered a head injury.
One of the intruders fled in a red Dodge Charger.
A short time after the initial call, authorities say, a Caddo sheriff’s deputy spotted the car on Louisiana Highway 1 near north Shreveport and started chasing the vehicle.
The suspect drove into woods near Scarpengo Road and abandoned the vehicle. He later was found hiding in a tree.
Now deputies still are looking for the other man who left the residence after the home invasion.
And the woman has been released after being treated at North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian.
