Crews investigating hotel fire in Bossier

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) - Crews with Bossier City Fire Department are on the scene of a possible fire at a hotel on Wednesday morning.

Crews got the call just before 5:30 a.m. to the 2200 block of Old Minden Road to the Woodsprings Suites.

Crews with police and fire cleared each of the hotel’s floors. In total 140 people were evacuated.

Four people were sent to a hospital for the treatment of possible smoke inhalation, according to Bossier City Police/Fire Department Spokeswoman Traci Landry.

Hotel guests are being kept at this time on two SporTran buses for warmth.

Landry said that the fire seems to be isolated to a room’s air conditioning unit. Crews are investigating to learn more.
