SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A Shreveport school is on lockdown as police are on the scene of a standoff following an attempted burglary in the South Highland neighborhood.
Officers were called just after noon to the 500 block of Ockley Drive.
A staff member at the First Baptist Church School, which is located close to the scene on Ockley Drive, confirmed to KSLA that the school is on lockdown and students and staff members are sheltering in place.
According to Shreveport police Spokesman Cpl. Marcus Hines, the suspect in the home refuses to come out.
Police do not know if he is armed at this time or if anyone else is in the home.
