Trial date set for 3 accused of killing Shreveport police officer

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — A Caddo Parish judge has set a possible trial date for the men accused of killing Shreveport police Officer Chatéri Payne.

Judge John Mosley set the trial date for March 9. Before then, arguments and hearings will take place Dec. 13.

Treveon Anderson, Lawrence Pierre II and Glenn Frierson were all present in court Sept. 16. Each is charged with second-degree murder.

Payne was preparing to go on her shift on Wednesday, Jan. 9, when she was shot multiple times outside her home in Shreveport’s Caddo Heights neighborhood.
