World War II Museum: Half price for Louisiana residents

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Louisiana residents can visit The National WWII Museum for half price during September.

In a news release, the museum says this is the fifth consecutive year that they have cut prices for Louisiana residents.

The discount also applies to rides on the museum's restored PT-305 boat as well as tours.

Residents have to show a valid Louisiana driver's license in order to get the discount. The discount is only available for walk-up purchases. It does apply to group sales.

The museum details the American experience in World War II.

The museum’s newest exhibit tells the story of Andrew Jackson Higgins and Higgins Industries, which built the famed landing craft used during the Normandy invasion in 1944.
