First Alert: Early week storms, late week heat

A few isolated showers and storms are possible through Monday, but our next best chance of widespread rain and possible severe weather won't be back until Tuesday. The second half of the upcoming work week will see little if any rain and our first stretch of 90 degree heat this year which will likely continue through the Memorial Day weekend.

A stray shower or storm is possible this evening. Clouds will fill back in tonight with temperatures falling back to around 70. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine Monday. A few showers or storms are possible, primarily during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the upper 80s. The chance of rain is 30%.

Another strong storm system will push through the area on Tuesday. A line of strong to severe storms is expected to move across the ArkLaTex during the afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s ahead of the storms. The chance of rain is 50%.

Rain chances will go down and temperatures will creep up for the second half of the week. Only some isolated pop-up showers or storms are expected with afternoon temperatures running around 90 and overnight lows near 70.

Have a good night!
